Castiglione della Pescaia is one of the most beautiful and characteristic town of Tuscany, in the centre of Maremma and at only a few kilometers from archeological sites like Vetulonia, Roselle, Populonia, and from artistic cities like Florence, Siena, and Pisa.
The origin of the 'Rocca Aragonese', a medieval fortress which dominates the centre of the small town, dates back to the xv century.
Il Poggetto is located on a hill at only 3 kilometers from the town and it has a very nice view of the Giglio and Montecristo Islands, the Argentario promontory, the Diaccia Botrona natural reserve and the fortress of Castiglione della Pescaia.
